Golf is a game which is rapidly gaining importance and recognition in almost every part of the world these days and as it is gaining recognition with every passing day, more and more are now willing to get familiar with the basis rules of golf, so that they can also enjoy and be a part of this fascinating yet exciting game of golf. So, in order to make every beginner familiar with some basic rules of golf, I have decided to list a few in this piece of writing. The rules which I would be discussing in this piece of writing are the basic ones, so after having a look at these, you would be able to at least start off with the game of golf.
First basic rule which every golfer must in that before getting on with the game, you must carefully read the rules posted on the scoring card, so that you would be familiar with the things you are allowed to do and things which you are not allowed to do while playing the game.
Next, your golf ball has to be distinct from the ball of your counterparts. It is important to have different balls because, it would make easier for you and other is distinguishing your golf ball with the balls of other players. However, in case, your ball is similar to the ball of any other player, then must make a mark of differentiation on your golf ball.
It is a very basic rule that as a golfer, you are allowed to play with 14 golf clubs. However, you can increase the number of clubs as well but only after getting an acceptance from the other players.
In the game of golf, you cannot touch the ball, so if your ball has fallen in a bad area, you are not allowed to change the place of your ball.
You would be penalized with one stroke if you hit the ball outside the playing area.
Never walk on the grass where the player is playing a shot as your foot prints might end up leveling the surface and the player might get upset about it and you might get penalized for such an action as player as well.
